10 minutes after I started streaming at 7:20am EST, Mike Pirie became the first person to join.
And he brought his beautiful family! I was so glad to enjoy the stunning morning with them.
Mike also popped back in around dinner time and showed me the latest update on his wife’s sourdough.
It’s amazing! What I really admire is how she stuck with the process. She struggled at first but stayed patient, and eventually, they got that beautiful dome of sourdough!
Although I make alternative healthy cakes like the Purple Sweet Potato Taro Protein Cake and Blueberry Chocolate Protein Cake, I haven’t tried making bread because I’ve always been intimidated by the process.
Mike’s wife is leading the way. I think I’m going to try soon!
Kevin Dul was the second member to join! We had a deep conversation about his community, where many troubled teenagers seek help. He’s on a powerful mission.
Then Bill showed up, and we had a really nice talk! Skool was buggy, so he couldn’t turn on his video.
But we had so much fun talking.
He told me more about what he’s doing with his community and how he plans to bring his existing business onto Skool. He said that while his skill set works well for large corporations, what truly excites him is helping people get their first sale.
Then Asha showed up! I finally met the man in a pseudo face-to-face fashion who rode his bike across a desert, surfed and got stabbed by coral reefs, and overcame drug addiction.
We chatted for a bit before he went for a meditation. Later, he joined again when I was talking with Brandon.
When Brandon joined, I was stoked. I got to hear some super cool personal stories. He incubated chicken eggs with his girlfriend and helped her with her business.
He also told me about a time he got super sick after eating a Carolina Reaper, one of the spiciest peppers in the world.
His girlfriend made him eat it. When I asked if she ate it too, he said no.
And then Sir Aidan the Brave joined us, marking the most members we’ve had in a single live call so far! Brandon, Asha, Aidan, and I were all in the same room.
Unfortunately, Asha had some network issues and dropped out.
Aidan and Brandon chatted a bit about Brandon’s offer call for a potential client.
Before Aidan had to go, I performed nunchucks for him.
I’d been performing nunchucks, bo staff, and dual blades all day for everyone who joined.
But Aidan challenged me to play guitar while performing nunchucks.
Ask, and he shall receive. I grabbed my electric guitar in one hand and nunchucks in the other.
I hope I recorded one of the coolest clips in Synthesizer history — Brandon and Aidan had their Blue Synthesizer hats on while I performed with smoke effects, nunchucks, and an electric guitar strapped to my body.
Sara showed up twice today, and I was super happy to strategize community growth with her!
The first time she joined, she challenged me to actually play the guitar.
At first, the audio didn’t go through, but we figured out it was due to the noise-cancelling feature. Once I turned it off, she could hear it!
Later, I performed electric guitar for Mike during his second visit too.
Then George showed up!
I really enjoy hearing Sara share her great ideas, many of which we’re going to implement soon.
After Sara left, George and I discussed how to use 3D printing to create a unique nunchucks design.
We browsed MakerWorld and Thingiverse and voted for the best designs.
We plan to combine two of them with some custom modifications.
The 3D-printed nunchucks are going to be _so_ cool!
I thought I finally had a break and stepped out of my office.
When I was in the bathroom, I checked my phone and saw that Sam and George were both in the room.
I rushed back and had a great conversation with Sam.
As always, Sam the Legend blew my mind with success stories of others and urged me to connect with more members in her community.
As she was about to leave, I mentioned that George is in Cyprus.
Then she started flipping through her family book to see if Alex might be related, since they share the same last name.
It was oddly magical.
Jack showed up while I was flipping eggs and cooking bacon, and I told him about all the amazing stories I’d heard today.
We’re on the same boat with the same goal, going all in on Skool.
He just launched his Confident Introvert community yesterday.
And then Sara showed up for the second time today.
She’s taking a very active role in helping me grow my community — and doing it in a super organized way. Unlike me, who’s still ad-libbing everything at the moment.
I had great fun LIVE streaming for 15.5 hours straight on Skool.
