Takeaways from the Consistency Call
Once you understand something, you can control it. When you understand your body, you can manage it better.
Your body will eventually force you to rest, so it’s better to maintain your rest every day instead of pushing yourself nonstop. You may think you are progressing, but if you ignore rest, your body will eventually force you into a long recovery. This doesn’t just slow your progress, it can push you backwards toward your worst version.
Not resting today means you are stealing energy from tomorrow.
Another idea we discussed is Flipping the Floor.
Think about the best version of yourself, the worst version, and where you are now.
Treat your current self as the worst version of yourself and make your previous best the new normal, then aim for a new peak. Once you reach it, flip the floor again and raise your standards.
Remember:
Pain is the key to change.
But be careful not to overwhelm yourself. Do it step by step.
