Hi everyone and welcome! My name is Christy and I’m 48, I have 3 kids(12,14,16). I work part time at home cheapo for my benifits from 5am-9am Mon-Thursday and after 9 I run a landscape/handyman company with my husband. I do all the customer/phone/invoice/estimating/drawings and a lot of labor too.
When I was 4 I fell on concrete at a daycare center and had a big goose egg on my forehead and ever since I have had terrible migraines. I use to get 3 or 4 a week when I was young and my mom was feeding me Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I finally figured out that was causing reoccurring headaches. Also as a teen I was diagnosed with pcos. I was put on birth control to fix that. I was finally able to get pregnant at 30 after 5 years of trying. My gyn asked me if I wanted kids and I said if it happens. Well she gave me progesterone and I took one pill and got pregnant. 3 kids later. After the 3rd when my period came back it came back with the heaviest bleeding I ever had which I didn’t have a lot of periods in the past due to pcos and also the worst nauseating migraine you can imagine and I’ve been getting those once a month now for the last 12 years with my regular periods that I never had.
My only hope has been menopause really, I’m also wondering if I should maybe take metformin for insulin resistance. I definitely feel like when I don’t eat I feel better but the sugar cravings are just so hard which is why I’m thinking metformin. I need to lose 20-30 pounds.
Jess thank you so much for starting this group!! I so need this in my life right now! And I know how amazing, kind and knowledgeable you are so I’m so excited for your ideas and feedback❤️
