Day 2 Grace and Truth: The Jesus Model
Day 2: Grace Sees the Person Before the Problem
Love Opens the Door for Transformation
Key Idea:
Jesus saw identity before behavior.
Scripture (NIV):
Luke 19:5–10
Jesus called Zacchaeus by name before Zacchaeus changed.
Teaching:
Jesus didn’t begin with condemnation. He began with connection.
Grace means:
  • Seeing people as image-bearers
  • Listening before correcting
  • Choosing restoration over rejection
Grace is not ignoring issues, it’s creating an environment where change becomes possible.
Action Steps:
- Reach out to someone without trying to fix them
- Practice asking more questions than making statements
- Encourage someone specifically today
Reflection:
Do people feel safe being honest with you?
