Update from inside the current Founder Sprint
We’ve been working through client personas this week, and it’s been one of those sessions where things start to click. Every time we do this, someone realizes the same exact thing: It’s not really a marketing problem. Or that they need to be doing more. It’s that they haven’t fully narrowed down who they’re talking to yet. Once that gets clearer, the messaging shifts almost immediately. It just gets easier… and a lot sharper. Next Founder Sprint still has a few spots open. Link’s in the course section, or just message me here if you want to talk it through.

A quick idea that might help some people here.
Freelancers often think the next step is: “How do I get more clients?” Founders ask a slightly different question. “How do I become the obvious choice for the right clients?” Those are two very different problems. Inside the Founder Sprint we spend a lot of time clarifying: • who needs your work most • what problem you solve • how you communicate it That clarity makes outreach, pricing, and marketing dramatically easier, and better. Quick question: What type of client do you most want more of right now?
From a 1:1 meetup last week
And this comes up almost every week. Someone said they were frustrated because every client immediately asks their day rate. And then negotiate down. When we dug into it a bit, the real issue wasn’t pricing. It was that the clients don’t understand what this person actually does- what the real value of the work actually was. And honestly whey would they? When I looked at this persons website and talk to them all I see is a portfolio and a job title. When you position yourself to solve a problem, people ask how it works first. Not how much it costs. That’s a small shift, but it’s a big one. Curious… how many of you feel like pricing conversations start before the real conversation begins?

Quick question for everyone here.
If you’re trying to move from freelancing toward building a real video business, where do you feel most stuck right now? Just pick one, or add more context if you want. Curious where everyone is at.
