Where AI is Today Based on My Last Two Attended Events
Hey everyone, Got some updates from recent events I hit up. Indienomicon Game Dev Event in Orlando: Gave a presentation on using AI for game prototyping. The crowd was new to the workforce and pretty hesitant about AI tools. During Q&A, people asked about copyright issues, AI stealing ideas, and where I see the industry headed. Reception was mixed. Most haven't used AI for their work yet. After the talk, several people asked about creating AI training for programming and asset building. INFOBIP Shift Miami - Perez Art Museum: This was a different scene. All about AI development, agentic AI, and AI programming. Heavy focus on deep tech problems and solutions. They covered AI security - data sharing with models, using AI for business applications. Met the CEO of Codelogic. They're building a solution to prevent AI agents from writing bad code that creates technical debt. Big organizations are going all-in on AI implementation. But there's also strong resistance from other companies that haven't even started their AI journey yet. The contrast between these events was striking. Game developers still questioning if they should use AI. Enterprise folks already building next-gen AI tools. What's happening in your industry? Drop a comment below.
