This week, we're creating something cozy, nostalgic, and full of handmade charm — a realistic Christmas tree appliqué design! Think vintage Christmas fabrics, beautiful stitching, layered textures, and that old-fashioned handmade look we all love. 🎄 🎨 THIS WEEK'S PROMPT: Create a highly detailed, realistic Christmas tree appliqué design made entirely from layered fabric pieces. Build the tree using overlapping scalloped layers of vintage Christmas fabrics, including red and white gingham, deep forest green plaid, cream floral prints, red velvet, and festive holiday patterns. Each fabric layer should have realistic thickness, slightly raised edges, visible blanket stitching, embroidery thread, and natural woven textures, creating the appearance of a genuine handmade sewn appliqué. Decorate the tree with small sewn buttons, embroidered snowflakes, a fabric poinsettia, holly berries, and a rustic twine bow. 🌹 Savannah Rose's Thursday Tip of the Week #5: Your Pace Is Still Progress 🌹 Alright, confession time, y'all. 💛 This week I had a whole list. Designs to finish, listings to build, big plans. You know what actually happened? Life. School pickups, pool league, a sink full of dishes giving me the stink eye — and about half my list still sitting there, unfinished. Old me would've called that falling behind. So if that's where your head is today, pull up a chair, because I had to learn this one the slow way myself: unfinished is not the same as unstarted. Here's how I count a week now. Did I open the design and move one thing, even a little? Did I learn one button in Canva I didn't know last week? Did I think about my project in the shower and come out with an idea? Then something moved. Maybe not the whole mountain — but a shovel-full is still dirt moved, honey. Your pace is the pace your real life allows, and your real life is not an excuse — it's the whole reason you're building this in the first place. The folks you're doing it for are the same ones eating up your Tuesday. Both things get to be true. So no beating yourself up this week. Just pick the next little thing — the smallest one on your list — and nudge it forward when you can. That's not falling behind. Y'all, I have been busy giving our Classroom a little makeover.
