Hello all! My name is Elena and I’m a multimedia storyteller—a novelist, journalist, photographer, recipe developer, and documentary producer. The stories I write focus on farming, food & drinks, climate, culture, and travel, exploring the connection between people and place. Hi everyone, I’m relatively new to freelancing as a journalist and currently trying to get a better sense of how others approach pitching magazines. I’ve written and published pieces before through my own publication, but moving into pitching editors directly feels like a different discipline altogether. I work in editorial at The World Times, focusing on culture, news, and digital media. My work is largely opinion-led, shaped by a deep interest in contemporary cultural conversations and the stories that sit just beneath the headlines. Alongside writing, I’m also involved in editorial coordination and newsroom operations, including managing orientations and press communication.
