Hi everyone, I'm Priyangana.
I work in editorial at The World Times, focusing on culture, news, and digital media. My work is largely opinion-led, shaped by a deep interest in contemporary cultural conversations and the stories that sit just beneath the headlines. Alongside writing, I’m also involved in editorial coordination and newsroom operations, including managing orientations and press communication. Outside of work, I have a particular interest in reading and writing psychological fiction, and I’ve had the opportunity to publish a few works in the genre as well. I’m here to learn, exchange ideas, and connect with people doing interesting work. Looking forward to being part of the community!
Ciao!
Hello all! My name is Elena and I’m a multimedia storyteller—a novelist, journalist, photographer, recipe developer, and documentary producer. The stories I write focus on farming, food & drinks, climate, culture, and travel, exploring the connection between people and place. My work has appeared in publications including AFAR, Atlas Obscura, Civil Eats, Culture, Eater, Forbes, Full Pour, Imbibe, Italy Segreta, Life & Thyme, and Modern Farmer. I’m currently based in Portland, Oregon, but I live part-time in Italy, where I was been based for the past decade.
Hi there, fellow travel writers!
Nice to meet everyone! My name is Alix, and I'm a freelance writer from Austria based in Portugal. I've written articles for Breathe, Suitcase, the NZ Herald, Culture Trip, and more. For a while, I worked as a senior contributor for ASMALLWORLD writing articles about destinations and adventures around the globe. A short article of mine has been published by WIZZ Air, and I'm always trying to connect with editors at various magazines to become one of their go-to's. So happy to connect with all of you here, and thank you, Igor, for adding me to this group. I browsed through some the resources below. Very helpful!
It's My Turn!
Hey reader! I’m Kashaf, a 25-year-old woman from Pakistan living with my 2 beautiful cats. I’m a former high school English teacher and currently a freelance writer. I’ve recently started my master’s in Applied Linguistics, and I now aim to turn writing into a full-time role. I’ve been writing blogs across various niches, but traveling and lifestyle are what I truly call a beautiful escape from reality. It’s hard to explain how I feel when I write about traveling. I know I’m not traveling consistently, yet it feels like my soul is traveling with my words. Each word feels powerful yet soothing. All in all, it is a beautiful experience. Moreover, I don’t want to keep it filtered. Nothing is more powerful than keeping it real, so I want to confess that I had doubts about myself and my writing. Little did I know that my travel narratives could be published. Until one day, I saw one of my written blogs on Grey Journal. That was a moment of mixed emotions. I was happy because it was published and had value, but sad because I didn’t get recognition. It was published on behalf of a foreigner. However, things happen for a reason. While I’m stilll learning, I can’t deny my potential. I know I can polish my travel narratives if I give them time, and that’s exactly what matters most. It was truly an honor for me to be the part of this community and introduce myself. Ciao, Kashaf :)
