Digital Kemet is a learning community for people who want to go beyond pyramids, museum cases, and academic summaries to explore how ancient people actually lived, thought, worshipped, created, worked, loved, celebrated, and understood their world. This is for people who leave museums wanting to know more and dig deeper on what they experienced.
Through cinematic reconstructions, evidence-based classes, historical sources, and guided discussions, we step inside Kemet and examine it through the cultural perspectives of the people who were actually there and lived it.
Inside Digital Kemet, you’ll explore:
- Egyptian beliefs, worldviews, religion and sacred practice, including Ma’at and Isfet, prayers, temple rituals, offerings, festivals, divine relationships, heka, death and the afterlife, and Egyptian understandings of cosmic order, morality and human responsibility. We also explore medicine, astronomy, writing, craftsmanship, philosophy, and the knowledge systems that shaped everyday life.
