YouTube - The Hook!
You only have a few seconds to grab someone’s attention. Do not wait 10 or 15 seconds. Your hook should come in the first three seconds. The goal is to make your viewer curious so they do not click away.
- Ask a question that makes people want to hear the answer.
- Say a bold statement that makes them pay attention.
- Show something exciting or surprising right away.
- Add words on the screen so people can read along.
- Use a quick sound, pause, or little animation to make it pop.
- Think about your niche and what your viewers like. Choose a style that fits them.
