Cold Call Confessions
Let’s talk about the thing nobody puts on their “I’m building my agency” Instagram post…
𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲.
Do you make prospecting calls yourself? Do you have a VA, salesperson, or appointment setter doing them? Or does your phone mysteriously become invisible every time it’s time to dial?
And more importantly…
How do you actually feel about making cold calls?
Bonus question: If you do make the calls, what’s the hardest part?
Getting started? Getting past the gatekeeper? Hearing “no”? Knowing what to say? Or just forcing yourself to pick up the damn phone?
Drop your answer below. No judgment.
Well… maybe a little judgment.
I do them myself. Hate it, but apparently bills need to be paid.
I do them myself. Don’t love it, don’t hate it. Just dial the damn phone.
I do them myself. Every call feels like I’m voluntarily walking into a dentist’s office.
Someone else does them. VA, setter, salesperson… delegation FTW.
I don’t cold call. I have a magical inbound system that definitely isn’t just wishful thinking.
I don’t call anyone. I prefer staring at my CRM and hoping prospects somehow sense my availability.
I genuinely enjoy cold calling. Yes, I’m that person. No, I’m not sorry.
I plead the Fifth. My lawyer advised me not to discuss my prospecting activities.
