I apologise for being missing in action for a bit, a close friend of 40 years died last week and it knocked me around more than I expected.
However, for the rest of us life goes on, and the fact that he wasn't much older than I am put the reality that we are not alive for all that long into perspective.
I'm going to try to make the most of the time I have left, and I'm going to do my best to make 2026 the best year of my life so far.
With that in mind...
We've been talking about working with partners and using Community Auctions to bring in often obscene amounts of money in very short periods of time.
One of the roadblocks to getting our first Auction underway is finding potential partners who are happy to let us run a TEST to their audience.
I'm going to solve that today...
The goal: Identify the 12-15 people per month most likely to say "yes" to a Test campaign, so you're not wasting outreach on people who'll never convert.
THE CORE QUALIFICATION MATRIX
Our ideal partners need ALL THREE of these:
✅ AUDIENCE (they have people to sell to)
✅ PROOF (they've sold high-ticket before)
✅ PLATFORM (they can deploy Poll + Auction mechanics)
If any one is missing, conversion probability drops significantly.
TIER 1: THE "HELL YES" PARTNERS (Highest Conversion Probability)
These are partners who check every box and have psychological readiness:
Demographics:
- Revenue level: $200k-$2M annual (sweet spot is $300k-$800k) Why: Under $200k often don't have audience depth; over $2M have established systems and are harder to change
- Audience size: 2,000-20,000 engaged followers/subscribers Why: Too small = not enough bidders; too large = often have agency/team doing campaigns already
- High-ticket history: Already selling $2k-$20k offers Why: Audience is pre-qualified to spend; partner understands high-ticket psychology
- Platform presence: Active community (Facebook Group, Circle, Slack, Discord) OR highly engaged email list (>30% open rates) Why: Auction mechanics need real-time engagement and social proof
Psychographics (The "Buying Signals"):
Look for people who are publicly saying/showing:
- "I want to monetize my audience better"
- "I'm not sure what my audience wants next"
- "I don't want to build another course/product"
- "I hate sales/launching"
Business Types (In Order of Conversion Likelihood) look for those who are actively advertising for clients:
- Executive/Business Coaches (75%+ fit rate)
- Niche Consultants (70% fit rate)
- Expert Course Creators (65% fit rate)
- Authority Figures in Niche Industries (60% fit rate)
- Fractional Executives/Advisors (60% fit rate)
TIER 2: THE "PROBABLY YES" PARTNERS (Good Conversion Probability)
These need slight education but convert well:
Demographics:
- Revenue: $100k-$200k or $2M-$5M
- Audience: 1,000-2,000 or 20k-50k
- High-ticket history: Sell $1k-$2k (can upsell) OR sell $20k+ (can create mid-tier)
- Platform: Social media engaged but no formal community yet
Business Types:
- Membership Site Owners (want to upsell free members to paid)
- Agency Owners (want to package services differently)
- Authors/Speakers (have audience but it is under-monetised)
- B2B SaaS Founders (want to add a service/consulting layer)
TIER 3: THE "MAYBE" PARTNERS (Lower Priority)
These require more education or convincing (not ideal for us):
- Influencers with large followings but low monetization
- People selling only low-ticket ($100-$500 products)
- Agencies with clients but no owned audience
- People just starting to build audience (<1,000)
RED FLAGS (Who to AVOID):
❌ No sales history (just building audience, no offers yet)
❌ Only sells low-ticket (<$500 products with no plans to go high-ticket)
❌ No engagement (big list but cold/unengaged)
❌ Launches constantly (launch fatigue = burned audience)
❌ Multi-level marketing (compliance issues with our model)
❌ Highly commoditized offers (generic coaching, generic courses)
❌ No audience ownership (just rents others' audiences via ads or affiliates)
WHERE TO FIND TIER 1 PARTNERS:
1. LinkedIn (Highest Quality Source)
Search for:
- "Executive Coach" + "High Ticket"
- "Business Coach" + "$10k"
- "[Niche] Consultant" + "Done For You"
- "Fractional CMO/CFO/COO"
Filter by:
- 2nd/3rd connections (warmer outreach)
- Post frequency (active = engaged audience)
- Content that mentions revenue, pricing, offers
Specific signals to look for in their posts:
- Sharing client wins with dollar amounts
- Mentioning their pricing publicly
- Asking their audience questions (shows engagement)
- Talking about scaling without more 1:1 time
2. Community Platforms
Join communities where your ideal partners hang out:
- Facebook Groups: "High Ticket Coaches," "6-Figure Course Creators," "[Niche] Business Owners"
- Circle/Skool Communities: Business/coaching communities
- Slack/Discord: Industry-specific groups
Look for members who:
- Answer questions (establishing authority)
- Mention their business/offers in bio
- Have their own communities (nested communities)
3. Podcast Guests (A very underrated source because they are actively trying to grow their businesses)
Search for podcasts in your niches:
- "Business Coaching Podcast"
- "Marketing Strategy Podcast"
- "Entrepreneurship Podcast"
Why guests are great:
- Already have authority (invited to speak)
- Usually building their own audience
- Typically selling something high-ticket
- Easy to reference in outreach ("Heard you on [Podcast]...")
4. Course Platforms
Browse instructors on:
- Kajabi (high-ticket bias)
- Teachable/Thinkific (mid-tier)
- Skool (community-driven)
Look for:
- Course pricing $500+ (shows high-ticket comfort)
- Active community features
- Multiple tiers/upsells
5. Industry Events/Speaker Lists
Check speaker lineups for:
- Industry conferences
- Virtual summits
- Masterminds
Speakers often:
- Have their own audiences
- Sell high-ticket
- Are actively looking for new revenue channels
THE QUALIFICATION CHECKLIST (Before You Send Outreach)
Before you message someone, verify at least 4 of these 6:
□ Audience proof: Can you see evidence they have 2k+ engaged followers/subscribers?
□ Sales proof: Do they publicly mention selling high-ticket ($2k+)?
□ Platform proof: Do they have a community, email list, or engaged social following?
□ Content frequency: Are they posting at least weekly (shows active audience)?
□ Revenue signals: Do they mention revenue goals, scaling, monetisation?
□ Buying signals: Have they posted about wanting to monetise better or asking audience what they want?
If they check 4+, they're worth outreach. If they check all 6, they're Tier 1 priority.
YOUR TARGETING WORKFLOW (12-15 Qualified Prospects/Month)

BONUS: THE "WARM INTRO" TARGETING HACK
Your best source is asking current successful partners:
After a successful campaign, ask:
"Who else do you know with an engaged audience like yours who might want to try this? Happy to run a Test campaign for them. I'll even mention you recommended me."
Why this works:
- Pre-qualified (they know who has an audience)
- Pre-sold (your partner can vouch for results)
- Pre-trusted (warm intro vs. cold outreach)
Goal: Get 1 referral per successful partner = 3-4 warm intros per year
YOUR TARGETING PRIORITY THIS MONTH:
Focus on Tier 1, Business Types #1-3:
- Executive/Business Coaches with $300k-$800k revenue
- Niche Consultants selling $10k-$25k services
- Expert Course Creators with $500-$3k courses + active communities
Find them on:
- LinkedIn (search "Executive Coach" + "$10k")
- Podcast guest lists (business/marketing podcasts)
- Facebook Groups (high-ticket coaching groups)
Qualify them with the 6-point checklist above.
Send 3-4 outreach messages per week to the highest-priority prospects.
IMMEDIATE NEXT STEP:
This week, spend 60 minutes doing this:
- LinkedIn search: "Executive Coach" + "high ticket" or "business coach" + "$10k"
- Filter: Active posters (last 7 days)
- Scan their posts for buying signals (monetisation talk, audience questions, revenue goals)
- Run them through the 6-point checklist
- Save 5-7 qualified prospects
- Send 3-4 outreach messages (your proven sequence + the framework I gave you earlier)
Track who responds and what their business type is. After 30 days, you'll know which Tier 1 category converts best for YOU specifically.
