Reached 5kyu (in 2 days!)
So, I took a little break from Socialmedia post exercise to do just a "few easy challenges" on Codewars, but that slowly turned into a personal challenge to get from 8 kyu to 5 kyu in under 24 hours. 😂 Spoiler, it didn't take 24 hours. I flew from 8 kyu to 6 kyu in under a day and thought I was unstoppable. Then I met the 4 and 5 kyu problems and got fixated on some tough ones and my ego refused to back down, and I spent the next 30 hours (not non-stop haha) in a "revenge coding" loop trying to solve them. And, I finally made it to 5 kyu! It was a fun (but slightly insane) challenge lol. But I'm not sure if it would qualify me for the "React" course cuz I still haven't finished some projects and content in the JS-II module yet. Anyway, back to the project-based learning!
Headed into Javascript
https://codepen.io/JoshTillmanSD/pen/myeZxXq?editors=1100 I've come a long way these past few months. I put in the hours and can create static designs effortlessly now. This weather app has a ton of JavaScript involved (Dropdowns, Loading states, API errors, etc.), and I don't know how to do any of it, which makes me very excited! I'm primed and ready to jump into JavaScript fully now.

https://codepen.io/JoshTillmanSD/pen/ByoGBVa?editors=0100 I'm proud of myself for coding this component in less than an hour without the use of any resources. My mind is starting to become callused through daily cardio writing sessions. I'm problem-solving on the fly like a boss. Elements aren't controlling me anymore; it's the other way around. Media Queries are next on the chopping block. Developer Pro is magic in how it empowers you. Tillman MADE ... loading%

Query Selectors are incredible
This is the first time JavaScript has scratched an itch in my brain I never knew I had. It's starting to dawn on me just how awesome programming is. The simple act of learning new concepts and wrestling with them enough times until they get added to our arsenal as developers is extremely satisfying and addictive despite the pain involved in adding them to our tool belt. I'm positive I'll be programming for the rest of my life. I'm not even worried about getting a frontend job down the line. Something in me HAS to build and make everything pixel-perfect. The applications I'll be building 5-10 years from now...
