Trust positions and responsibilities
I woke with this thought process of trust is in everything after watching a video Bee dropped in the classroom section. He uses the analogy of a restaurant and now I can't unsee it. Everywhere you go start plugging people you deal with in the public into these trust positions and it becomes easier to see what, where and who is who.🤞🏾❤️☀️ IHTH
In a trust, the primary position with responsibilities is the "trustee," who is responsible for managing the trust assets, making investment decisions, distributing funds to beneficiaries, and acting in their best interests at all times, adhering to a fiduciary duty to uphold the terms of the trust agreement; essentially, they are the person in charge of running the trust and ensuring its proper administration.
Key responsibilities of a trustee include:
  • Managing trust assets:
  • Investment decisions:
  • Distribution of assets:
  • Fiduciary duty:
  • Recordkeeping:
  • Tax compliance:
  • Communication with beneficiaries:
Other important roles within a trust:
  • Grantor/Settlor: The person who creates the trust and transfers assets to it.
  • Beneficiary: The person or people who are designated to receive benefits from the trust.
