"But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified." — 1 Corinthians 9:27
Paul wasn't playing church. He trained like a man who had something to lose.
Most men want the results without the reps. The income without the discipline. The relationship without the work. That's not how it goes.
Discipline is the bridge between who you are and who God called you to be. Without it, you're just talking. With it, you're becoming.
The enemy doesn't fear a motivated man. He fears a disciplined one. Motivation runs out. Discipline doesn't.
