What’s going on What you see / hear / smell How long it’s been happening If it’s getting worse 3. House context (if you know it) Approx age of the home Any previous work done in that area 4. What you want Quick fix to stop the bleeding? Proper repair that will last? Or “this is ugly, how do I make it nicer without a full reno?” 5. What you’ve tried (if anything) Even if it “failed,” it helps to know. 3.
