How I'm training with Cyphr Cam (Freestyle)
What I've noticed using Cyphr Cam in my training process is: I'm able to consistently find a base level of deep connection with the music (since im dancing with headphones. It's a consistent quality of immersion that I'm channeling movement from. So I can study my trance state predictably (in a freestyle context). This gives me an actual base to measure my growth from, and have epiphanies in my dance quicker. For example: I've been taking the Beyond The Moves freestyle program from the bro @Nickel Yudat, and it's been really helpful to pinpoint the gaps I've felt in my dance for years. I've been stuck on a note he gave me a couple weeks ago during the live call: Staying with the vibe of the music. It's something I'm def familiar with, But making this understanding deeper has been the primary focus of my training the past couple weeks. Through this task, I've been processing 7 things: 1. As simple as this note might seem, I think the crystallization of it is exactly what I needed at this point in my dance. To really dissect what the "vibe" is to music. Very grateful for the direct insight, and I feel like can spend a lot of time with this alone (+ will continue with the weekly tasks) 2. I'm realizing "vibe", is the key to unlocking continuous groove (for me). I feel like I'm beginning to crystallize what continuous groove feels like and make it conscious in my dance. To lead with the vibe, instead of leading with my movement. And shedding the habits I've built over the years to control the music; I lose track of the vibe sometimes in these rounds, but then I find it again. 3. Part of the note was to "stay in the vibe without doing movement that is familiar.". Fighting my urge to do this, is very challenging. But there was a point where I surrendered my movement to the vibe; let the two pieces merge. I believe it changed the quality of my movement + how it feels for me in my execution 4. "Vibe" is also key to tastefully bridge my vocabulary across styles. I mess around with this a bit where i'm locking and switch to toprock in one of these rounds. It felt like a smoother transition, and the gap i've been feeling there is starting to be nurtured through the challenge.

Exploring Arms
Hello! This is just me exploring and repeating some moves, building upon them and understanding the muscle engagement. It’s part of my daily challenge that I’ve started since the beginning of 2025. I’m a fan of using my arms for sure so I like to see how far I can dig in terms of concepts or pathway.

No time like the present to just post.
This is one of the few takes of the night where I danced in a decent headspace through an entire song. I’ll consider these posts like progress reports. Journey with Jess I guess ✨🫶🏻 Thank you guys for your willingness to share your takes because they inspire me and give me courage to share mine. Song: “Pretending” - Alec Benjamin

Cool Light Effect.
With the lighting auto correct, the low red light got this cool like flashing effect almost. For context, the actual red light stayed the same brightness the whole time. Thought it was cool, and wanted to share. Some shadow work practices too.

Finding spots
Been playing around with different locations this past weekend and I forget at times that even the environment can motivate your movement aside from the music.
