Christmas came and went so fast this year. I made mince meat from my recipe book, it was a success with Jimmy! Now we look forward to 2026 and renew our efforts to keep in touch and keep our Welsh traditions alive. Happy new year everyone! Let me know where you are from and where you live now. There are so many of them but the one I am working on today is getting the ingredients for mince meat. I have not been able to find the commercially made mince meat the past two years and my husband loves mince meat pie. So I have been making my own and it's been working. Merry Christmas all. Every Christmas I have been buying Mince Meat to make my husbands favorite mincemeat pie. The past two years it has been impossible to find in the store so I am making my own. Last year was the first year I did that and it was amazing. This year my sister sent me an old recipe book our mom had created. And guess what was in it? A recipe for Mince Meat. So here it is:
