Why I Stopped Holding Back and Started Sharing Everything

I wanted to share the reason why I started posting more in this forum and how my approach to content creation has completely shifted over time.

Back in the day, I used to keep everything close to my chest. I’d figure out what was working for my channel—little tricks, strategies, or ideas—and I’d guard them like they were some big secret.

Same went for what wasn’t working; I’d never admit when something flopped because I didn’t want to look like I didn’t have it all together. And honestly, I was terrified of sharing my channel too openly because I thought, “What if someone just swoops in and copies me?”

But lately, I’ve flipped that mindset entirely, and I owe a lot of that change to some amazing people. I got inspired by

— she’s been so open about her journey, and it really hit me how much value there is in being real and generous with what you’ve learned.

Then there’s the Creator Boost group. Seeing how others in that community share so freely, bounce ideas around, and lift each other up encouraged me to do the same. It was like a lightbulb moment: why hoard this stuff when we can all grow together?

Now, I don’t care who sees what I’m doing or who tries to run with my ideas. I’ve started sharing everything—the wins, the fails, the experiments—and it’s been so freeing. I love putting it all out there and watching others take what’s worked for me and make it their own.

Seeing people execute their own spins on my strategies and grow their channels? That’s honestly become one of the best parts of this journey.

I’ve noticed it’s had a ripple effect too. People reach out, share their results, and we end up bouncing ideas back and forth—it’s like a little community of creators all leveling up together.

It’s such a positive vibe, and it’s made me realise that holding back was just slowing me down. The more I give, the more I get out of it, you know?

So yeah, I’m all in on this open-book approach now and plan to keep it going. Anyone else feel this way?
