Audio Quality

This is the video I have scheduled to release today. I have started doing an on screen appearance to give a brief intro to the story so that my channel is no longer faceless. I noticed with this video that my voice where I record myself talking with my phone seems clearer than my voice narrating the story which I record with a Maono podcast microphone into VoiceMemo.

I am wondering if perhaps my videos would sound better if I recorded the audio of the story with video in iPhoto as well... even though I would not be using the video portion of that. My brother who puts all the parts of my video together thinks that maybe the intro voice sounds too bright or shrill to use that for the storytelling.

Would anyone here be willing to please listen to a bit of the intro (it's 45 seconds long) and then compare it with a bit of the story that follows and let me know what you think? Thank you for any feedback you can give!
