Resolve Room Live+ is happening in 6 days
📅 Mar 16th - MONDAY CHECK-IN 👋
Hey everyone, happy Monday. Just wanted to check in and say welcome to the new members who joined recently. Glad you're here. @Sikho Qangani @Jessa Stebbins @Fernando Nogueira @David Hubbard @Parker Humpherys @Mohammed Jaafar @Ariunbileg Alirz @James Rai @Sonia Ramsey If you're new here (or even if you're not), this community is basically a place for creators who want to get better at editing, learn DaVinci Resolve, and improve the videos they're making. A lot of the value here comes from people actually sharing what they’re working on and asking questions. So if you’ve been lurking for a bit, this is a good week to jump in. A few simple things you could post: • A video you’re currently editing • A timeline or workflow question • Something you’re stuck on in Resolve • A small win from a project you finished • A clip you want feedback on Even small posts usually lead to good conversations and learning. And if you’re brand new, feel free to introduce yourself and share: • What kind of videos you make • What you're currently trying to improve Looking forward to seeing what everyone’s working on this week. 👊

📅 Mar 9th - Happy Monday everyone 👋
Let’s kick off the week with a couple quick wins from the community. @Victor Luigi shared that he recently edited two 10+ minute funnel videos for a Meta ads campaign, and one of them has already brought in 2 autobookings. That’s a real business result. He also shared a before/after of a recent grade and said it’s one of his best yet. Great reminder that progress usually comes from practicing the fundamentals and refining your eye. Also, welcome to all the new members over the past 2 weeks! @Samuel Mateo @Victor Luigi @Shawn Sirigomez @David Mason @Jenny Butterworth @David Matamala @Gabriel Pomerleau @Shafi Khan @Karl Bro @Harold Morgan @Minh Lê Nhựt @Zubair Ahmed @Hamza Isam @Dave Mltvrse @Rivaldo Marani @Andrew Dolotov @Darek Trice @Afzaal Ahmad @Silviu Tudor @Mary Thacker @Samuel Motta @Jesse Gaskins @Dean Vitale @Pablo Chavez @Khalid A @Ota Werks @Productive Guy @Alisia Moore @Andrej Marjanovic @Musab Cahid Dür @Kareem Watson @Raj R @Dylan Patai @Oliver Beier @David Trevino

✨The New FujiFilm Film Stock LUT Pack Is Now Inside the Classroom
I just added the FujiFilm Film Stock LUT Pack to the Resolve School classroom. This pack includes 11 finishing LUTs inspired by classic Fuji film stocks and designed to emulate the feel of a film print. These are not corrective LUTs. They are meant to sit at the very end of your color pipeline, after exposure, white balance, and contrast are already dialed in. Think of them as the final layer that gives your footage cohesion, contrast discipline, and subtle film character. Fuji-inspired looks tend to lean slightly cleaner and more restrained compared to warmer print styles. You get controlled saturation, refined highlight roll-off, natural skin tones, and a consistent tonal response that feels intentional instead of overly processed. The goal is not heavy stylization. The goal is a finished image that feels cohesive and polished. HOW YOU CAN GET IT You have two options: 1. You can purchase the FujiFilm LUT pack individually inside the classroom if you want this specific look. 2. Or you can join the Premium Membership and get access to: - All LUT packs and presets - The full classroom - The 3-Hour Edit System - Live Calls and resources If you’re already building inside Resolve consistently, Premium usually makes more sense long term. If you grab the pack and use it on a project, drop a still frame or short clip in the comments. I’d love to see how you’re using it and what footage you’re applying it to. QUICK POLL Where are you at with LUTs?

📅 Feb 16th - MONDAY RESET: TRY ONE NEW THING
Editing can easily turn into “just get it done.” Another timeline. Another export. Another round of fixes. So here’s the nudge for this week: Try one new thing in Resolve. Not because you need it. Not because it’s efficient. Just because it’s interesting. Find a tutorial you’ve never tried. Test a feature you normally ignore. Experiment with an effect you’ve been curious about. Learning keeps editing from feeling mechanical. And sometimes the thing you try “just for fun” ends up becoming part of your real workflow later. COMMUNITY SHARE If you try something new this week, drop it below: • What tutorial did you follow? • What feature did you test? • What surprised you? Link it if you want. Let’s build a thread we can all pull ideas from. WINS FROM LAST WEEK @Benjamin Lanin built a custom arrow in Fusion after following a tutorial, even though he usually avoids Fusion because it can turn into a rabbit hole. @Neil Dasgupta committed to setting a clear editing goal for the next couple of months to stay accountable in his learning. Trying. Showing up. Taking one step forward. That’s real progress. THIS WEEK INSIDE RESOLVE SCHOOL Nothing heavy scheduled. No live calls. Later today, I’ll post a separate thread with three film frames you can vote on. I’ll recreate the winning look (color grade), record the process, and share the PowerGrade so you can experiment with it yourself. Keep an eye out for that post and cast your vote.

📅 Feb 9th - MONDAY CHECK-IN 👋
Happy Monday, everyone. There’s been solid momentum lately in the community and behind the scenes, and I’m genuinely excited about where things are headed. Last week, I spent a lot of time deep in Fusion and scripting, more than I ever have before. It was a good reminder that learning something new can actually feel energizing when you give yourself permission to not be good at it yet. ONE REMINDER FOR THIS WEEK 🧠 If Resolve still feels slow or uncomfortable, that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. Most progress with new tools and workflows takes longer than we expect. Months, not days. Struggle usually just means you’re still in the unfamiliar phase. That phase is normal. Keep moving! WHAT HAPPENING THIS WEEK 📅 Resolve Room Live Q&A Friday at 1pm EST (Premium + VIP members) Open questions, project talk, and a relaxed hangout. Bring something you’re working on, or just listen in. Also, if you haven’t already, take a look through the Foundations Library and see if there’s something in there that answers a question you’ve been carrying around. WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON 👀 One of the best parts of this community is seeing real work in progress. If you’re editing something this week, consider sharing it here. A screenshot, a clip, a timeline view, or even a question you’re stuck on is more than enough. It doesn’t need to be finished or polished. Seeing work early helps others learn and keeps the momentum going. Looking forward to seeing what everyone’s building this week 🙌
