✨ SANCTUS – from Mass No. 2 ✨
I’ve just completed the Sanctus from my Mass No. 2, and I wanted to share it with you. This movement breathes stillness and serenity, even as a gentle 3/4 pulse carries it forward. The music opens quietly with oboe and clarinet, woven together over pizzicato cello and bass — a sense of calm motion rather than urgency. When the choir enters, the instrumental lines continue, allowing the Sanctus to unfold the piece develops, the melodies become increasingly interwoven and polyphonic, reflecting the text: “Pleni sunt caeli et terra gloria tua.”Heaven and earth are full of your glory. The opening material returns with the choir singing Hosanna in excelsis in counterpoint, before a final section that gently expands the texture once more. The piece closes with a short coda and a radiant G major 7, leaving the sense of praise open and heavenward. If you enjoy choral music that values beauty, clarity, and quiet depth, I hope you’ll enjoy this. 🎧 Listen here: 📩 Subscribe if you’d like to follow the journey of this Mass and future choral works.

James 1:18
I’m an artist on the prophetic art team at my church, and today I live-painted during a 1-hour Sunday sermon (at an easel over on the side of the platform while the pastor was speaking). Looking at it now via photo I do see a few minor things I would like to adjust before I varnish it, but for a quick large painting I am pretty happy with how it went. 😊🙌 (Acrylic on 30x40” canvas)

✨ New Choral Release – Cum Sancto Spiritu ✨
I’ve just completed Cum Sancto Spiritu, the concluding movement of the Gloria from my Mass No. 2. The piece opens with a rapid descending figure in the instruments, inspired by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2. From there, the music flows into a gentle, river-like lilt, with harp textures supporting the choir, before gradually building in counterpoint and richness of texture. This movement brings the Gloria to its joyful close:Cum Sancto Spiritu, in gloria Dei Patris. Amen. 🎶 SATB Choir with orchestral accompaniment🎼 Sacred choral music with flowing, lyrical writing https://www.paulnoblecomposer.com/mass-2/ I’d love to know what images or moments the music evokes for you.

✨ New Music | Gloria from Mass No. 2 ✨
I’ve just released a new movement from my Mass No. 2: 🎶 “Quoniam Tu Solus” (Gloria) This section focuses on the powerful declaration:“You alone are the Holy One. You alone are the Lord.” After Jesu Christe, I introduce “Laudamus Te” as a kind of choral response — a moment of collective praise before the concluding Cum Sancto Spiritu (set as a separate movement). Written in E♭ minor, this music is intended both for liturgical use and concert performance, and may also be sung a cappella. If this speaks to you, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Please feel free to share with anyone who loves sacred choral music. “Quoniam Tu Solus” from my Mass No. 2 — a Gloria movement centred on the words “You alone are the Lord.” Dark, intense, and ultimately an act of praise, with “Laudamus Te” returning as a choral response. 🎧 Listen here:https://youtu.be/vmXqhi1uNUs
