Biggest mistake as investor

What is your biggest mistake as an investor?

For me I would possibly say losing my life savings in 2011 - gambling with individual stocks after doing very little research!

This was difficult for our family as we were due to move to our 2nd home. And my future wife (now actual wife) was due to give birth to our 2nd daughter.
