How I got my first 100 free members without an audience

For the first 5 months I was on skool, I only gained 10 members in my free group

I had no clue what I was doing

To get from 10 -> 100 I followed this strategy

And In the last 30 days, I added 135+ members to my group doing the same thing

ALL WITH ZERO SOCIAL MEDIA AUDIENCE

Here is what I did...

Created a spreadsheet
found every email I have ever collected, added to a spreadsheet

Sent an email to every single one of these people

Hey x, I have a free group where I help people with (problem) achieve x

Also

I Joined 5 large skool communities in my niche

Made posts about what was working for me, helping people solve problems, etc.

To everyone who interacted with the post, I sent them a dm, started a conversation, and invited them to my group

Why were more members in my free group worth it?

I was able to get members to book 1-1 onboarding calls, where I got to learn the problems people in my niche were struggling with

For the people I knew I could help, I continued doing more free 1-1 calls, where I got to learn the very valuable skill of being able to teach and give feedback

which I define as giving people information that changes their behavior
