The joy of the map feature
I just made a post in Skoolers sharing this, but wanted to share some additional thoughts here :)
Because when you get together with likeminded folks, magic tends to happen. The map feature, both for your community and now for Skoolers, is such an incredible tool for making great connections near you.
Here were a few things that came up throughout the conversation with new Skoolers throughout the lunch that I thought were special.
1- We all tend to know what we need to be doing, but for whatever reason we convince ourselves not to do it.
2- When you force yourself to describe your problems in a way that other people can understand, it can often coach you into the place where you need to be to solve that problem.
3 - Finding the thing that leaves your cup of energy full at the end of it is the most important quest you can be on.
4 - People sincerely crave the ability to get around other like-minded people. If you have an idea, you should just go after it and figure it out along the way. Create the space and focus on making it easy to engage and share.
5 - We need to try to rekindle that boldness that we had when we were kids.
6 - Ask more for forgiveness and less for permission. Yes, this means you are going to screw up a lot more things a lot more often, but you will also have more results than anybody else.
7 - The people that you look up to who are most successful are also the same people who have failed significantly more times than you have.
Have you guys connected with anyone from Skool offline yet? If not, check out the map and see if you can get a few people interested in lunch. It's SUPER worth it.
