Hello everyone, I am super grateful to everybody who has joined here and given me great feedback. I've been doing a lot of introspection lately, and I feel like I've honed in on exactly the kind of value that I want to give to the world. But I'm going to need your help to do it. That means this community will be closing and a new one will be opening. Selfishly, I'm making the kind of community that I need more than anything. And that's one where a passionate and small group of community builders holds each other accountable to their goals every day. // When I was fortunate enough to join a small startup called monday.com as employee #1 in the US, even later when we went public, every manager I had always attributed my success in many parts to a few simple superpowers that weren't special or even hard. 1- I always knew how to celebrate the success of something before I started anything. Every time I forgot to do this, the project ended up as a disaster. That's why I had a work journal. 2- I was able to transfer my excitement to my team about even the most mundane things, like project management software. That's why I got good at finding and telling stories. 3- I learned that everything was a system. And anything that didn't have a system was doomed to fail. But even with the best systems, if you don't adhere to them or don't have them built and integrated into your life, they will deteriorate. Our greatest enemy is entropy. Once I left the corporate world and started working for myself, I left many of those systems behind, and entropy crept in. After speaking with over a hundred community builders, I realized the simple truth. A vast majority of us know what we need to be doing, or just need a little bit more knowledge. The hard part is sticking to it through the good days and the bad. // So that's what this new community will be about. It will be about making a commitment to yourself to grow and utilize these systems that I have refined over the past 10 years of community building and over 30k spent on coaching.

Question about cold reach outs
Do you guys ask for permission to DM someone in your reply posts? Or do you just DM them straight up to see if they're suitable?
Who are you?
Hey everyone! 👋 This is our official "get to know each other" post for the whole group. Jump into the comments and tell us about yourself! (no pressure of course) Here's a few ideas to get started: - What got you into community building and is that what you do for a living? - What do you love to do in your free time? - What are you super proud of and why? - Feel free to link to your website or community Quick note: We want to get to know YOU as a person, so please focus your answer on, well, you! After you introduce yourself, scroll through and check out what others have shared. Leave some replies and connect with people - that's what this is all about! Can't wait to meet you all properly! 🙂 Cheers, Matt

How to Find what your Community Wants?
Hi everyone, I'm wondering how you all figure out what your community members want? I run an alumni community and we're always brainstorming what new programs we can launch for our members. We've tried surveys in the past but engagement can vary. We've recently started a user research program on our alumni but it's not the most scalable way. What methods do you all use?

🚀 Ready to Win?
One thing I’ve learned in trading: winning isn’t luck, it’s systems. When the right mindset meets the right approach, results follow. I’ve been using a strategy that’s been helping people see real, consistent wins. If you’re ready and serious about making progress, I’d be glad to show you how it works
