Feeling lost and betrayed

I recently got a reading, the message was someone close to me had given me an item with ill intentions connected to it. The ill intent was to bound my magic so I'll never be more successful than them. Basically nerfing my powers. The weird thing is, this isn't the first time of me hearing this. When I received a cowry shell reading a few months ago the same thing popped up. I kinda forgot about it until this new reading. I grabbed my trusted pendulum to confirm the reading and the reading was accurate. I'm just feeling so upset that a close friend would do this to me. I give with love, if I have it they have it. I have a sort of an idea of who it was but I'm not 100% sure. I did a ritual cleanse Sunday. Hoping that's enough.
