Welcome to Code 3 Academy. Start here and say hi 👋
Welcome in. Glad you're here. Code 3 Academy is a free community from Code 3 Wellness, built by firefighters and paramedics. Long shifts, short sleep, heavy calls and busy homes take a toll. This is where we work on the stuff that helps: sleep, training, recovery, food, stress and the people around us. You don't have to be a first responder to be here. Spouses, kids, parents, friends, customers and affiliates are all part of the crew. Get started in 3 steps: 1. Read the rules. Rule 1: Be good to each other. Respect every member, every role and every family. No hazing, no politics, no personal attacks. Rule 2: No selling or spam. No promos, DMs pitching products, or recruiting. This is a community, not a marketplace. Rule 3: No medical advice. Share experiences, not prescriptions. For anything about your own health, talk to your doctor. Rule 4: Protect privacy. No patient info, call details, incident photos, or anything that identifies a person or a department. Rule 5: Keep it clean and on topic. Post in the right category and keep it family friendly. Families are here too. Rule 6: Share what's true. No made-up claims or miracle fixes. If you share a source, link it. Rule 7: Have each other's backs. If someone is struggling, reach out. If it's an emergency, call 911. In the US you can call or text 988 any time to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. 2. Check out the Classroom. Start with "Shift Ready: Wellness Basics for Shift Workers." It's free. 3. Introduce yourself below. Copy and fill this in: Name: Where I'm from: My connection: (first responder, spouse or family, customer, affiliate, friend) One thing I'm working on right now: Something fun about me: The Code 3 team will be in here every week. Drop a comment, say hi to someone new, and make yourself at home. Stone Code 3 Wellness

The recovery habit that actually stuck for you
Long shifts and short sleep take a toll, and most of us have tried a dozen fixes. Which one actually stuck for you: a wind-down routine, stretching, cutting caffeine late, a walk after shift? Share what works and what didn't. Real answers help the whole crew.

What's the one thing your crew always has on shift?
We'll start. Coffee, a good pair of boots, and someone who always knows where the snacks are. Every crew has its own version of this. What's the one thing yours can't go a shift without? Tell us below. We read every reply.

Weekly Check-in: How was your week? 📋
Every week we check in. No judgment, no perfect weeks required. Just show up and be honest. Reply with: 1. Win of the week: big or small, it counts. 2. Sleep: how did you do? (rough / okay / solid) 3. Moved my body: how many days? 4. One thing I'm focusing on next week: Then hype up at least one other person in the comments. That's the whole point. We post a fresh check-in every Monday.
