Fruit bowl filing system 🍌😆

This morning my husband asked, “Have you seen that envelope from the fruit bowl?”

I paused, “What envelope?”

“The one with the important number on it.”

Ah. The fruit bowl filing system 🍌😆

Sadly, said envelope was binned about two weeks ago, because I foolishly thought an old envelope sitting with the bananas was rubbish.

But it turns out he may have been onto something and psychology backs him up. Read about it here.

Apparently, there’s a reason some people still write notes on scraps of paper. It gets things out of your head, makes them visible, and helps you feel more organised.

Of course, this only works if everyone in the house knows which scraps of paper are sacred 😄

So now I'm wondering...

Are you someone who writes important notes on bits of old envelope, or do you prefer a proper notebook, an app, or a system that does not involve fruit?
