𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 Procrastination is often described as a failure of discipline. We tell ourselves that we should simply get started, manage our time better or stop making excuses. But sometimes the difficulty is not the task itself. It is what taking action represents to us. A task can carry more internal pressure than its practical demands would suggest. Fear of judgement, perfectionism, uncertainty, the need to prove competence or the expectation that we have to get everything right can make a simple action feel surprisingly difficult to begin. When this happens, the impulse to delay can provide a temporary sense of relief. By not acting, we step away from the pressure for a moment. The problem is that this relief can reinforce the very pattern that keeps us from moving forward. This is why procrastination can be useful information. Rather than immediately treating resistance as something that needs to be overcome, we can become curious about what is happening underneath it. What is the action asking of us? What do we believe it would mean if we succeeded or failed? What is the body signalling before we decide to postpone? Sometimes the pause is avoidance. At other times, stepping back gives us the space to gather information, regain clarity or allow something to catch up before we act. The important distinction is whether the pause remains connected to movement or gradually becomes a substitute for it. This is also where self-leadership becomes relevant. Sustainable action does not come from forcing ourselves through every moment of resistance. It comes from becoming better at recognising what the resistance is telling us and deciding what response is actually needed. In my latest article, “Procrastination as a Protective Mechanism: What Putting Things Off Can Teach Us About Self-Leadership,” I explore this relationship between procrastination, the nervous system, beliefs, bodily signals and action.

@Liz Lemarchand that's one of the aspects we're covering in the workshop
How’s your client onboarding?
We spend so much time thinking about how to attract clients and get them to say yes, but what happens once they do? When someone signs up to work with you, do you have a set process that takes them from becoming a client to their first session, or has your onboarding just developed naturally as your business has grown? How would you describe your client onboarding?

What happens after a client says YES? 👀
You’ve had the sales call conversation and your client wants to work with you 👏 So what happens next in your business? 👀 I think we spend a LOT of time thinking about how to get someone to the point where they say yes... But then much less time thinking about what happens immediately afterwards. - Do they get a welcome email? - A questionnaire? - Something explaining how everything works? - Something to prepare them for their first session? - Do you have a set process you follow every time or does it depend on the client? What’s the very first thing that happens in YOUR business after someone becomes a client? I’d love to know 👇
