Foundation Course take-aways
I’ve just finished the Foundation course. It has been a genuinely enjoyable eye-opener and very thought-provoking.
A quick note on my main takeaway from the content so far, because I think it connects closely with the principles of the course. Please correct me if I have missed or misread anything.
For me, the course seems to encourage a shift from a “solutions” mindset to a “strategies” mindset.
I’m sure many people here already think strategically, and from the community content I’ve seen, there are clearly some very smart ideas and implementation approaches being shared.
That said, it feels as though the people who will benefit most from combining ICMs and LLMs will be those who can bring together:
  • strategic thinking;
  • well-curated lateral ideas;
  • structured, sequenced operational execution;
  • and strong domain knowledge.
To the final point. Domain knowledge will be especially valuable when applying this framework to real-world use cases, rather than treating it as an abstract prompting exercise.
That is the task I have set myself now: to understand how to combine the framework with practical domain expertise and turn it into something operationally useful as well as continue this learning journey.
