Weekly Q&A with Alice is happening in 14 days
Americas POD Replay 7.14.2026
Next Steps - Study target: Finish Domain 1 (Agentic Architecture) this week; move to Tool Design & MCP next week (https://claudecertificationguide.com/) - Exam timing: Several members (Alice, Pam) targeting mid-August for first attempt, allowing two retake windows before October 1st - Flashcard resource: Anita to share her 32-module video series + 360-question Claude-generated flashcard deck with Alice for evaluation before wider distribution 56 Key Certification Updates (from Anthropic broadcast) - 3 new cert tiers added: Associate (non-technical/strategy), Developer, Architect Professional — non-technical Associate does not count toward the group's 10-person goal - Retake wait periods now documented: 14 days after 1st failure → 30 days after 2nd → 90 days after 3rd; capped at 4 attempts per rolling 12 months - Certification validity: 12 months, renewal requirements not yet defined - No practice exam questions coming soon — the certification platform owner acknowledged it's on her to-do list with no timeline - Exam format change: Questions may now require selecting two correct answers (not just one), making distractor-elimination strategies less reliable - Claude in Slack ("Claude Tag"): Introduced as a collaborative teammate feature; no demo shown Pam's Study Method (Demonstrated) - Uses the Claude Certification Guide site https://claudecertificationguide.com/ domain-by-domain: read theory → copy built-in concept quiz prompts into a Claude "Study Coach" project → then do hands-on coding exercises - Gemini used as a prompt-review advisor to refine coding prompts before executing in Cursor; helps non-coders structure prompts without needing to write code from scratch - Running actual API calls with Haiku model to keep token costs low during practice - Key insight from exercises: sub-agent failures typically stem from the coordinator not passing sufficient context, not the sub-agent itself — a known exam topic
New Cirriculum Outline and Claude Skills to Assist with Study
@Hsin-chih Lee has been busy building some tools for the Asia pod and sharing this with everyone. Cirriculum outline - keep pace weekly with a section by section cirriculum to get you past the test by early Sept. This will be used in the Americas Pod, with @Alice Bazdikian reviewing it on todays call. https://hill-partridge-e36.notion.site/38fd4ad9034881e7b48dc93cf3839716?v=38fd4ad9034881f1b6d7000cc51e7392 ccaf-exam-tech-foundation https://github.com/hclpush/cca-f Teaches the ~38 foundational computer-science concepts a non-technical learner needs to read CCA-F exam material fluently — JSON, JSON Schema, glob patterns, environment variables, caching, Docker, tokens, and more. Each concept is anchored to the specific exam topic where it appears, and taught only as far as the exam needs it cca-foundations-exam-practice https://github.com/Neerajkr7/cca-foundations-exam-practice The Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCA) launched on March 12, 2026 as Anthropic's first official technical certification. It's a proctored 60-question exam targeting solution architects building production-grade Claude applications.
Are you struggling with Glob and Grep?
During my workshop I noticed that these two commands can be confusing (from Task 2.5) Here are short articles that explain them well: - Grep: Link to article  - Glob Link to article But the best way to learn it is to really use them in your terminal. Don't know how to do it? Just ask your Claude Code😉 You don't need to learn how to write the commands to pass the exam. But it'd be helpful and give you confidence knowing how to use them. Also they are very useful. If you still struggle with them, leave a comment or DM me. Have fun!

Americas Intensive Session 1 - Domain 1
Thanks @Henriette Effa and @Zsuzsanna Tuell for joining. 90 min deep review of Domain 1, including: Review of key concepts in Domain 1 Things to remember/memorize for the exam Analogies to help you remember Walk through sample exam questions - intentionally verbose and we break them down to understand what it is asking and how we eliminate answers. Next session is Thurs over Domain 2. If you are on track for testing by end of Sept, join us (LEGACY MEMBERS ONLY) https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86167699357?pwd=V6lPnM2XPAQuoVwniwAgqHGWHw7WYx.1 NOTE TO ASIA MEMBERS ATTENDING HSIN-CHIH'S CLASS. I recommend watching the America's classes as well. I cover slightly different content (and different deck content) than Hsin-Chih, so you are getting a double dose of coverage. Same to Americas - watch the Asia pod videos. VIDEO REPLAY AND DECK: https://www.skool.com/the-ccaf-cohort-8589/classroom/005ac1b7?md=2ccf8062d3d94ad886ff782fe9af4edb
