💛 Community Update: Welcoming Our New Admin Team 💛
As our community continues to grow, it’s important to me that we protect what makes this space special — supportive, safe, and focused on Circular Machine Knitting. Because of that, I’m excited to officially welcome four new admins to our team: ✨ @Julie Findleton ✨ @Paul Brown ✨ @Suzane Mesheau ✨ @Ruby Dack They’ve generously stepped in to help support the community in some very important ways, including: • Keeping the community safe by removing scammers, spammers, and anyone here with the wrong intentions • Hosting Crafting Hours • Answering questions and offering support • Helping new members feel welcomed and encouraged This step allows me to stay focused on creating patterns, courses, challenges, and content — while knowing the heart of this community is being well cared for. 💬 A quick note from my heart: If you’re reading this and wondering, “What about me?” — please know this is not a closed circle. As we continue to grow, I fully expect to expand the team again. There are so many incredible members here, and there will be future opportunities to step into leadership and support roles. Thank you for being part of a community that looks out for one another and helps keep this a place where knitters can learn, grow, and feel at home. With gratitude, Kim 💛🧶

Crochet Borders Class Rescheduled
I will be doing the crochet borders class this Friday at 9 am EST (NewYork, Toronto). If you go to the calendar tab, you will see it in your time zone. I will be teaching some crochet basics, and then how to create a foundation row around your work, and a simple pattern to make a nice border. You will be trying this with Kim as she does it, so please have a test tube of 52 rows, knitted and closed on both ends using a 4-weight acrylic yarn. You will also need some more of the same yarn and a 5mm H8 crochet hook for this course. If you are a Premium or VIP member, this is included in your membership. If you are a free member, you can upgrade for less than a hamburger meal each month by clicking here: https://www.skool.com/circular-machine-knitting/plans (Click Join Premium or Join VIP for annual pricing). Your membership includes: ✅Access to the complete pattern library of close to 50 patterns, including iCord projects ✅Courses and classes to increase your skills and what you can make on the machine ✅Crafting hours where you can come and get to know the other members, work on your projects and ask questions and get live help and support. Think about it. How much have you spent on yarn you ended up not using or you tried a project and it didn't work wasting both time and money. When you are a Premium or VIP member, you will have the help and support you need to successfully complete projects you can present with pride.
What’s Coming Next Week & A Little Behind The Scenes 💕)
I want to share a bit of the real process with you today. Over the last little while, I’ve been practicing, testing, and designing our Colour Work course, and I’m excited to say it will be released next week 🎉The project we’ll be working on together is a Valentine’s Day scarf, like the one you see here. But I also want you to know something important… I don’t get everything right the first time. (See the pictures below.) I have to learn new skills. I drop stitches. I misread charts. I choose the wrong yarn. I get frustrated. Just like you. The difference is—you usually only see the finished project. What you don’t see are the mistakes, the do-overs, and the “well… that didn’t work” moments that happen before it ever looks good. That’s exactly why I create these courses. I do the experimenting, the trial-and-error, and the problem-solving first, so when you sit down to learn, you can: • Start with a method that works • Avoid common mistakes • Understand why things happen • And build confidence faster This Colour Work course is being built step by step with that same heart: 👉 learning together 👉 simplifying what feels complicated 👉 and proving that you can do this—even when it feels tricky at first More details coming soon, but for now, just know this: If you’ve ever thought “She makes it look easy, but I struggle…” — you’re not alone. I struggle too you just don't always get to see it and quitting is not an option. And I can’t wait to teach you this next skill 💖
