Kitchener stitch

I am having a very difficult time making Kitchener stitch to close headband, or maybe I should call it headbands. I have watched videos, paused and did what I thought was right and watched more did more and I can not figure out what I am doing wrong! Can someone please help me? I think part of the problem is the wording that is used in the videos. I’m not understanding it. I have done 3 now and none of them are right.
