In this first class we focused on how to design a project from scratch.
Instead of starting with someone else’s pattern, we walked through how to look at a finished project and reverse engineer the design.
During the session we covered:
• The key questions to ask yourself when designing a project
• How to break down a finished item into its basic components
• The thought process designers use when creating patterns
• How to create your initial design idea
This is the foundation that turns “I like that project,” into “I know how to design that.”
