Hey! I am sincerely very happy you're here. That means that you are serious about growing your relationship with Jesus and the Kingdom. Since you are new here, here is a short checklist of things you MUST do to get you connected in the community! Get started in these 3 EASY steps: 1. Go to the "Connect" tab and then click "Write Something" at the top. This is where you will introduce yourself to the community! In this post, answer the following questions: - Your name - Where were you born? - What city are you currently in? - What's a hobby you secretly wish you were good at? - Ask an icebreaker question so others can answer it! (Can be fun or serious) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Once you make your Introductory post: - YOU MUST respond to at least 2 other people's posts! This way, you can meet others and start building the community. - LIKE their post and give them a FOLLOW, as this is a great way to help each other move up the ranks. - Remember, Likes get you points and points get you prizes! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. There are many different discussions in the "Connect" tab, so participate in those by clicking on other people's posts and comment on it, or even better, make your own post there! (see how in the "how to guide") Remember, the more you engage and participate in this community, the more value and growth you'll get from it! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. (Bonus) Make sure you check out the "How To Guide" tab in the community if you want to see what each of these tabs in the community are! Don't be afraid to watch those videos for clarity! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And there you go! You're almost done getting started! Check out the other 2 posts that are pinned below this one to finish getting set up.

Month 1 week 2
I know I am a little behind but today I decided to open my bible as I feel I haven't been as invested as I should be. Reflection Questions: What verse did you choose this week that stood out to you the most? The verse I selected comes from James 1:26 " If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless." How did applying it change your attitude or decisions? Lately I feel like I have been struggling with this aspect of my life. I find myself cussing, which is something I've always struggled with in my journey of faith. While reading over this, this verse stuck out to me the most. I know we aren't perfect and things happen, but I also do believe that we can have discipline especially when it comes to what we say and how we say it. This is an aspect of my life that I feel I have really been lacking in and is why I chose this verse. Applying this verse to my life will show me a new perspective of how I talk and view things. What did you learn about God or yourself? I learned that if I want to be serious about my faith and journey, steps like these are what I need take. Being able to be self-aware of my actions in what I do and say are very important. I need to be able to hold myself accountable and be honest with myself. It is easy for me to say that I'll stop cussing, but I haven't done anything to change it. I want to be able to carry myself in a more positive way and I think this is some of the first steps in that direction.
