Hey! I am sincerely very happy you're here. That means that you are serious about growing your relationship with Jesus and the Kingdom. Since you are new here, here is a short checklist of things you MUST do to get you connected in the community! Get started in these 3 EASY steps: 1. Go to the "Connect" tab and then click "Write Something" at the top. This is where you will introduce yourself to the community! In this post, answer the following questions: - Your name - Where were you born? - What city are you currently in? - What's a hobby you secretly wish you were good at? - Ask an icebreaker question so others can answer it! (Can be fun or serious) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Once you make your Introductory post: - YOU MUST respond to at least 2 other people's posts! This way, you can meet others and start building the community. - LIKE their post and give them a FOLLOW, as this is a great way to help each other move up the ranks. - Remember, Likes get you points and points get you prizes! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. There are many different discussions in the "Connect" tab, so participate in those by clicking on other people's posts and comment on it, or even better, make your own post there! (see how in the "how to guide") Remember, the more you engage and participate in this community, the more value and growth you'll get from it! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. (Bonus) Make sure you check out the "How To Guide" tab in the community if you want to see what each of these tabs in the community are! Don't be afraid to watch those videos for clarity! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And there you go! You're almost done getting started! Week1 Reflection
I am just getting into 2 Corinthians in my personal study, and the first section (chapter 1 verses 3-11) had some extremely dense lessons packed in it all revolving around two words: comfort and suffering. In short, the comfort of God (which gives strength in His presence and courage in nearness to Him) comes directly in response to suffering, not because it is gone. Thee struggles in life lead to Christ's comfort and from our brothers/sisters as it makes our union with each other stronger in shared conquering. After all, a knot between two ropes only tightens when you try to pull them apart, and is how you fasten/secure it in the first place. Every sentence in this section is just as fruitful as the last, but the part that kick started looking deeper into it were: "But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort that you experience in your patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer. And our hope for you is steadfast because we know that as you share in our sufferings, so also will you share in our comfort." - 2Corinthians v.6-7 (NET translation) The trials we face shows the union we have with Christ's suffering, and likewise Christ's comfort so that we have endurance. If we are comforted in Christ or by other brothers and sisters, the shared persistence through trials tightens the union even more. I love the method of study, specifically praying before and after studying that God speaks to me and truly marks what I read onto my heart so I can fully understand it and internalize it from there on. God Bless!!
