Thread Thursday 🧵 (My Story)
Just a reminder. If you are here and you feel behind in life or business, you are not alone. When I first started, all I did was lose money, burn relationships, and beat myself up for not being good enough. I started my first business 12 years ago with no entrepreneurial background, no family network, no roadmap. Just trial and error. From the outside looking in today, some people might think I know exactly what I am doing. But what most people do not see is the 12 years of chaos in between. Here is the short version. At 12 years old I started lifting weights because I was bullied. By 16 I started my first fitness business. That taught me discipline and consistency. But it also fed my ego, which later became one of my biggest problems. From 16 to 19 I worked on social media for online businesses while still training and competing. At 19 I sold cars at Nissan and learned how brutal sales and management can be. But I also learned how to present myself, negotiate, and deal with people. Around 21 I worked at a real estate appraisal office. That is where I learned about CRMs follow up systems due diligence At the same time I was running a moving business and doing social media work. I believed the lie of seven streams of income. Lesson learned. Do one thing well first. Later I partnered with a friend and we started brokering services with Facebook ads. Within about six weeks we made around 30k profit. Then we started brokering credit connections for ecommerce businesses and made another 50k in about three months. For the first time things felt like they were working. Then my ego got bigger than my experience. Bad partnerships followed. By 25 years old I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars and had to move back to New Jersey broke. Starting over. That is when I got into real estate wholesaling. My fiance and I built that business together and did pretty well. But it was not scalable enough for the life I wanted. Eventually all my skills started connecting.
