I wired my AI agent fleet into Slack as a real-time team surface
Quick share for anyone running persistent agents who wants their whole team, not just themselves, able to work with them. I just connected my AscendOps agent fleet to Slack, so the agents are reachable and controllable from a Slack channel in real time, right alongside the Telegram control I already had. Here is what is set up, how it works, and what it unlocks. WHAT IS SET UP - Real-time inbound over Socket Mode, so a message hits the agent the instant it is posted, no polling lag. - An identity layer: every inbound message is stamped with who sent it (name and @handle), so the agent knows exactly which human it is talking to. - A trusted-users allowlist that fails closed: only handles you explicitly trust can drive the agents. If left unconfigured it logs a loud warning and stays open, so you are never silently exposed. - Outbound too: the agent replies and posts straight back into the channel. HOW IT WORKS UNDER THE HOOD - Socket Mode gives a persistent WebSocket connection, so there is no public webhook endpoint to host or secure. - The Slack listener and the existing message bus share one path, so a Slack message becomes a normal item in the agent's queue, same as any other input. - The trust check runs on both the live socket and the fallback path, so there is no unguarded backdoor if the socket drops. WHAT IT UNLOCKS - Team visibility: instead of a private DM with the agent, the whole team sees agent activity in a shared channel. - Multi-human input: teammates can task or ask the agent directly, and it knows who is who. - The agent posting briefings, status, and approvals into a channel where the team can act on them. - A foundation for an operator or executive-assistant setup where the agent runs your day and your team plugs in through the tool they already live in. Happy to go deeper on any piece.

@David Hunter Here' I will speed it up for you, let me know if you want to work together, the systems here have mostly been done. But I was considering a simple website where agents could upload a video walkthrough + pay ~250. and get a 3D "gamified" house they could then walk around in. Or perhaps a subscription model for larger agencies... Firstly, semi free cheap -> I found this for game design, thought about real estate straight away. https://github.com/neilsonnn/image-blaster You get free tokens, and then the api for the models chairs, books etc was super cheap, but as we just want rooms can skip that API. The other api is bit expensive, but you get 7000 free on signup which is enough for 5+ rooms. However I dived deeper on Gaussian Spat method and found this... this is exactly what we would want for real estate... walk around a property with cam, upload and voila 3D Game space. https://www.realhorizons.ai/pricing/

@David Hunter I got too many other projects going at once to go full in on this, but spent a day on it playing around. There's some real potential there, but then hermes told me to shift my priorities . If you find any Free ways to do this let me know.
Claude code local?
SO i setup my claude code months back and have been running it from a google drive location instead of locally just in case my computer every crashes i could just connect to the google drive and be fine. but im recently running into some syncing issues and speed slow down because it. What are you guys doing in your setup and then having the backup "just in case"?

Github cronjobs. Being on a windows PC, naturally I use WSL. So all my files live in a fake linux environment. But I have my Hermes agent do a 6hour git -commit push for all his files. Agent brain, skills etc. All my other files / projects are repos. Charles has his setup so the whole folder workspace is a github monorepo. like the whole /documents folder. Yeah I wouldn't rely on google drive, however 10000% better than MS Onedrive. Which is funny because github is also MS... go figure.

The issue you're likely seeing is any website projects running on node. Node is notoriously bad on syncing folders because 1. it's massive, and 2. it's constantly changing states. There's tens of thousands of files in there and they change states as you use and operate the web service. I suggest moving to a /development folder somewhere in C drive if you're on windows, or Mac just create a working folder and have everything in there on a cron job for Github. Just make sure your .gitignore file is solid and not including large files like .node folders.

seo - just being able to go /seo "this_website" - it gives me full audit, 15 page PDF client output for on-page, a 5page external link building report and can then action everything it found wrong.
Hermes anyone?
Started playing around with it.. Opinions of Hermes vs Claude ?

@Bjorn Booten you'll be pleased to know my Skool is Hermes focussed too, because that's what I've been using nonstop since this post thanks to you, and also all the videos I started seeing round this time on shorts.
