I’m bringing back my weekly soul Sunday series…. But only if you engage and like it. This is how I known what I’m dropping here resonates.
📜 Scripture Insight
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
✍🏼 Devotional Narrative
These past weeks have carried me through highs and lows. I stepped onto the stage for my first live event in five years. I celebrated with classmates at my reunion, reliving memories that made me smile. And almost as quickly, I was knocked down by a cold that had me sidelined.
Life can be that way. One moment you are flying. The next you are flat on your back. What struck me is how Isaiah speaks to both. “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” Renewal is not about avoiding weariness. It is about rising again because God supplies what our own energy cannot.
Like the eagle, we are not called to flap harder, but to stretch our wings into the currents He provides. Strength is found not in our striving, but in His sustaining. This week is not just another turn of the calendar. It is the opening page of a new chapter. A chapter that begins with rest, trust, and confidence that God is carrying me forward.
So I am laying down the weight of the past weeks and leaning into His promise of strength that never fails.
🙏🏼 Prayer
Our gracious heavenly Father, thank You for being the source of my renewal. When my body is tired and my spirit worn, remind me that Your strength never runs out. Teach me to soar in Your current, to walk without fainting, to run without fear. Write this new chapter with Your grace, and let my hope be anchored in You alone. Amen.
✅ Five Action Steps This Week
1 Pause and Breathe: When weariness creeps in, whisper Isaiah 40:31 as a reset.
2 Choose Hope Daily: Begin each morning by naming one thing you are trusting God for.
3 Notice Renewal: Journal moments when you felt your strength return after rest or prayer.
4 Lighten Your Load: Identify one task or burden you can release to create margin.
5 Walk in Faith: Take one small action toward a goal you have delayed, trusting God for strength.
🧘🏽♀️ Meditation & Mindfulness
Close your eyes and picture an eagle gliding on unseen currents. With each inhale, see yourself rising higher without effort. With each exhale, release striving. Whisper, “You renew my strength, Lord,” until your spirit feels lifted.

2 Recall a past season when God renewed your strength. How did it change you?
3 What would it look like to start this new chapter leaning on His power instead of my own?
🔚 Final Word
Strength renewed in God is not a one-time gift but a daily promise. Every chapter, every setback, every comeback is covered. Let this week remind you: the same God who carried you through the last season will lift you into the next.
