Prior Advice

I had the opportunity to attend a four-day course in Maine with a school and instructor I had been following. Four or five months before the trip, the director of education suggested that “bring no new equipment to the course.” I slept in the back yard, I cooked in the backyard, I hiked all over the county. All well used. That was not the case with several students as cookware was being taken out of shrink wrap around the cooking fire. Ouch - they ate very late and there was a little bit of frustration.

I just thought I would share this tid bit of sage advice generously granted to me. No new equipment.
