Module C1-4 Overnight

Destination: I will be setting up my campsite in my back yard.

Purpose: Individual practice and training on our grandson (11yo).

Itinerary: 3:00 pm Saturday to 9:00 am Sunday

Permits: Local fire permit.

I have invited our grandson and our son over tomorrow afternoon when I set up my hammock campsite in the backyard. My grandson will be invited to prepare and kindle a fire in the fire pit. We are expecting serious rain until about 3:00:pm Saturday, so I have gathered some fire resources in advance of their visiting. After I get the campsite set, I will be boiling water to reconstitute my mountain house dinner. I have a couple on hand in case my son wants to try it. Feeding my grandson is a challenge so we will have to work on some solutions. Maybe Mac n cheese. As of right now, they are not spending the night. I will camp in the backyard yard. I will heat water in the morning for a wilderness coffee before returning to my care taking responsibilities. The camp site will be disassembled before 9:00 am.

The long term plan is to attend an overnight survival school in early October and to have son and grandson ready for the experience.
