Hey Taekwondo Instructors! 🥋 Welcome to your 3-2-1 Coaching Letter! 3 Thoughts: 1. Being a great athlete doesn't automatically make you a great instructor. 2. How you say something can be more powerful than what you say. 3. The best instructors don't just teach. They influence. 2 Reminders: - Your students are always watching how you communicate. - Small changes in your teaching can create BIG results. 1 Question: What makes a student remember an instructor for the rest of their life? 🎥 I just released a new video sharing 3 powerful teaching secrets that can transform the way you teach! 👉 WATCH THE 3 SECRETS HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmKy5sMcqq8&t=29s Let's become the instructors our students will never forget! 1. Your voice is one of your most powerful teaching tools. Speaking loudly for 45 minutes doesn’t make you a great instructor. Sometimes enthusiasm captures attention. Sometimes lowering your voice and pausing for three seconds is even more powerful. Learn to use both. 2. Stop explaining everything. Imagine teaching a beginner a roundhouse kick and giving them ten instructions at once. Chamber. Pivot. Turn. Extend. Recoil. Balance. Guard. Breathe. Overwhelming, right? Give one clear instruction. Let them practice. Then add the next. 3. Attention is earned, not demanded. If your students constantly lose focus, don’t automatically blame them. Ask yourself: Is my explanation too long? Is my activity engaging? Are students getting enough chances to move? Sometimes better teaching creates better listening. 2 Quotes Worth Remembering “The best instructors make complicated things feel simple.” “Don’t confuse a quiet classroom, that’s one of the best classrooms. Learning and staying focused. 1 Question For You If you could improve just ONE teaching skill this week, what would make the biggest difference for your students? — Master Chong BVO Taekwondo Global Academy
