With so many books written, will mine ever be read? Yes. How many movies, T.V. shows, songs are out there. Do you listen or watch only one? Of course not. There are different genres, that's more important to readership than the huge number of books published. So write that book. Talk to the millions of people that have common tastes in books as you do. All the stories and information out there has pretty much been covered before with the exception of new people being born to write about, new discoveries and current events of any kind. Share your opening hook. Don't worry, everyone thinks theirs is the best. You can't take someone's words, but their words can give you an idea. That's writing. You have an idea how to tell that story in a new way. So let's see your greatness. Butt in Chair...let's go!

To write you must have your butt in a chair. I guess you could write laying down, but that always ended up with my pillow taking advantage of me for a couple hours. Not a very productive end to a writing session. After successfully seating yourself in your favorite chair, at your desk, in your car, work break room or anywhere else you want to sit you need your supplies. •computer •phone •notebook •scrap piece of paper or note cards •stylus •pen or pencil •colored pencils •crayons Basically anything to write with and to write on. Then write. Anything. It doesn't have to be in order. Can be a group of notes. Can be a complete chapter. Maybe it's a description of a character. Just write...your butt is in the chair

Welcome to our community. My name is Christina, I wrote under the name Tabitha Dove. I'm a published author. Writing is NOT easy. Getting the story written is just the first step. 80-82% of people want to write a book. 16% actually start. 6% make it halfway and 1-2% actually finish. According to Google. Writing is not a place you arrive. Instead it's a station you leave multiple times on journeys of your own creation. Why write? •unrequited love •what if I had made a different decision when I was younger •curiousity and interest about historical and public figures •interests in traveling •story(ies) and characters burning in your mind •autobiography, diary, memoirs •interest in crafts, cooking, plants, animals, anything you are interest in •medical breakthroughs •medical journeys by patients •self therapy The list is endless. My reason started as closure to my abusive marriage. I was able to off my ex husband in my book. infact I planned a series to off him in a different way in each book. Then my heart began to heal and I changed my goal to helping people trapped ine abusive situations get out and or get help. Give them hope for a better life. Now I put the abusive tendencies in the characters and offer them. What is your reason? What are you writing...book, novella, genre?
