So you've finished a chapter, several chapters or your book. What now? It's ready for a world release, right?
Not quite. It's time to revise your writing.
Before you think you're going to have to change everything in your book...you're not. You're just going to take your amazing writing and make it better.
Revising = Better
This is not the time you will have to tear your hard work apart. It is a time when you will see just how good you did. How your characters fit together, how your setting is perfect in certain ways, how the scenes and actions contribute to the flow of your book.
Most of all you will find ways you can tighten your writing, shorten or lengthen dialogue to convey emotion, choose more descriptive words. You may even choose to cut a character, scene or discussion.
This hurts, but it can strengthen your work.
