Last year I was diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis). It is and was one of the most debilitating feelings in my body. Annnddd I'm in my 40's. I promise you, I had no idea that this autoimmune disease cares NOT about your age. What I found out from researching it is that there are 8 & 9 year olds out in this world with this issue. With RA, it's basically because your immune system is overactive and has nothing else to do. It searches and finds something in your joints that it doesn't like then flags your T cells to let the crew know, they don't like it and it needs to go! When I take my meds on time and on schedule I feel great. When I don't my body aches from my head to my toes! Moral of the story. Take your meds... it helps even when we feel like we don't need them.

Is Anyone Out There?!
Hello Everyone! How are you doing? How is life treating you? And how are you enjoying or not enjoying the current content I've posted? I want to engage and be of help, so please let me know what information you would like to discuss or may need assistance with. This community is about empowering and educating parents so that they can affectively advocate for their children. It's to let you know you are not alone in this long tedious but so NECESSARY and ESSENTIAL process of discovery. I'm here to listen and laugh inappropriately at life! 😁 (Laughing about situations doesn't always mean we don't take them seriously. Just finding the humor is a great way to get through.)

Role 3: Commenting/Arguing Policy & Regulatory Changes
Hey Yall Hey! Okay yall...Here's the Dosey! This is where passion and emotions collide. This is where logic sometimes goes out the door. This is your baby that you are fighting for and something needs to change, right?! This is the world against a momma or daddy and what's best for their baby! and Lastly, this is law, policy, regulations, practices, and your child's rights to have access to the services and benefits their needs meet. This is the Mess Around and Find Out zone! So, what I want to do is take my time to go over what is IDEA, what is Section 504, and what is Procedural Safeguards and Parental Rights? via classroom. However, I need to know you guys are in the community by participating. Skoolroll through the community, make a post, post a comment or two (and reply to others comments), invite a few friends into the space that may be in search of the information. Once 3 or more people make it to Tier 3, we will start the classroom sessions. The classrooms will only be available to those whom make it to Tier 3 participation level. We'll plan fun scavengers and activities to make such a serious subject feel light and understanding. The information is NECESSARY and ESSENTIAL to your affective advocacy for your child (ren). (If you are currently an Advocate, Legal Counsel, or a Clinically Licensed Counselor, we invite you to collaborate with us, pro bono, to share your expertise.) NOTICE: "Next month is Autism Awareness Month and we will take the time daily to learn something new about Autism, the signs, how it affects individuals, and much more."
