Last year I was diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis). It is and was one of the most debilitating feelings in my body. Annnddd I'm in my 40's. I promise you, I had no idea that this autoimmune disease cares NOT about your age. What I found out from researching it is that there are 8 & 9 year olds out in this world with this issue.
With RA, it's basically because your immune system is overactive and has nothing else to do. It searches and finds something in your joints that it doesn't like then flags your T cells to let the crew know, they don't like it and it needs to go! When I take my meds on time and on schedule I feel great. When I don't my body aches from my head to my toes! Moral of the story. Take your meds... it helps even when we feel like we don't need them.
