Hi all, I'm currently not counting calories but am losing apox 1 kg a week and keeping it off 🙌 is my long term goal witb out other thinking about it! Im working out 2 times week on top of work. Currently 2 stone down since Christmas. So my goal is to now lose one for stone to make 3 in total or near enough to the 3 stone was 112kg now 100 so was thinking 95 ish kg is where I like to be long term I'm 40years old I'm unsure if the pressure of calories counting will make me miss out on foods I like? So currently we have a takeaway or go out for an meal once a fortnight, pub on a Friday night. I still drink alcohol been a big part of my life but currently cutting it down a lot, so will go though my average food and drink intake.
Breakfast never really eat it before but now have a banana or fruit then
Around 11ish I have an oat cookie ( oats banana honey etc) or over night oats so that my food prep is do for the week...
Lunch about 130 ish toast with... beans ,tomatoes scrambled egg... or supper noodles sandwich things around these lines low cal meals..
Fruit or biscuits about 4 ish
Dinner normally after 8pm was got younger kids but wife cooks well so
Chicken rice and veg
Fajitas
Spaghetti bowl
Any meat home made chips and veg...
That's basically what my food now looks like still feel like I'm eating food i like and well as losing or maintaining weight depends on if I'm working local or away. When away I try doing better choices for lunches etc any tips on that would be great! And does calories counting help or the commonsense approach I'm doing ok I'm just don't know if I'm over thinking it and then will be harder on my self and fail/ feel like giving up if I'm going over the said amount etc.
