What changed in AI last month (and what to do about it)
Here's what actually mattered in AI over the past month. Not the hype, just the parts you can use. 1. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲'𝘀 video model, Veo, is now free. Anyone with a Google account gets 10 AI video generations a month at no cost. If you make faceless content, this is worth ten minutes of testing this week. Write a script with Claude, then feed a scene description into Veo and see what comes out. 2. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 rolled out a new model called GPT-5.6, with a slider that lets you choose how much effort it puts into an answer. If Claude is your main tool, you do not need to switch. But if you use the free version of ChatGPT for anything, know that it just got a real upgrade. 3. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲'𝘀 memory changed. It now remembers more about you and your business across conversations, and you can see what it remembers and edit or delete any of it. Open a chat and ask Claude what it remembers about your business. If it is wrong or thin, correct it. That memory is what makes Claude useful as an ongoing assistant instead of starting from zero every session. 4. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰 made "Skills" a standard, portable way to package a repeatable task for Claude. Instead of pasting the same prompt every time, you can save it as a Skill and reuse it with one command. If you have a prompt you run constantly, that is the next step up from copy and paste. One simple next action: pick one of these four and actually try it this week. Test Veo for one piece of content, check what Claude remembers about your business, or turn your most-used prompt into a Skill. Do not try all four at once.

Can you describe your business in one sentence, the same way, twice?
Try it out loud right now. Not a paragraph, not three versions depending on who's asking. One sentence: what you do, who it's for, what you're actually offering. Most people can't repeat it word for word ten minutes later, and that's not a memory problem. It means it was never actually written down, just sort of assembled fresh in your head each time someone asks. That's an impression of a business, not a business. The fix isn't a better answer. It's writing the one you already believe down on a single page, then reading it back to yourself like a stranger would hear it. Try it in the comments. One sentence, what you do and who it's for. I'll tell you if it reads clean to a stranger.

Nobody fails online because they're lazy.
They fail because nobody ever told them what order to build in. That's the whole idea behind everything here, plain enough to say in one line: there's a right order to build in, and doing the right things in the wrong order still stalls you out. Pieces don't fail on their own. Content plans, offers, tools, all of it can be genuinely good and still go nowhere, because the order they got built in was backwards. Something that should've come first got skipped, and everything after it has been quietly fighting that gap ever since without anyone noticing where the fight started. AI can do the heavy lifting at almost every step now. It cannot tell you which step you're actually on. That part's still yours. What's the step you keep circling back to without actually finishing?
