Word of the Week: PREPARE
May is here. Summer is coming. And the time to prepare is now — not next month.
Kids are wrapping up school. Graduation parties are being planned. The calendar is filling up with outdoor events — camping trips, pool parties, paddle boarding, lake days.
Summer is around the corner. And with it comes hotter days, less clothing, and the kind of moments you want to actually show up for — fully, confidently, energetically.
For me personally, this month carries a lot of meaning.
My daughter Maya is graduating from high school at the end of May. Watching her step into this next chapter has me thinking a lot about preparation — how the work you put in quietly, consistently, over time is what makes the big moments possible.
And we have a family trip to Cabo at the end of June. Which means the preparation starts now. Not July 1st. Now.
Here's what I've learned about preparation:
Most people wait until they feel ready. But readiness doesn't come before preparation — it comes because of it.
You don't prepare because you're motivated.
You prepare because you've decided.
And once you've decided, the actions become simple. What do I need to do today to be ready for where I want to be in 6 weeks?
That's it. One question. Every day.
Summer prep isn't about crash dieting or punishing yourself in the gym.
It's about returning to the basics — your 7 Daily Primal Needs — with intention and consistency.
Breathe better. Sleep more. Hydrate with minerals. Eat clean and simple. Move every single day.
Six weeks of that — done consistently — changes everything.
Here's the honest truth about summer bodies:
They're not built in June. They're built in May and the months prior.
The people who show up to the pool, the lake, the beach feeling good in their skin — they didn't start last week. They started now. They made a decision and they prepared.
That can be you. It starts this week.
Your PREPARE challenge this week:
Write down your personal "Cabo moment" — the event, the trip, the milestone, the moment you want to feel your best for.
Put a date on it.
Then work backwards. What does that require of you between now and then?
That's your plan. Keep it simple. Execute it daily.
Good → Better → Best
Good: Identify your target date and your one biggest health lever to pull between now and then.
Better: Clean up your nutrition this week — remove the one food or habit that's quietly working against you.
Best: Book a strategy call with me. Six weeks with a real plan and real coaching behind you is a completely different outcome than six weeks of guessing.
What's your "Cabo moment" this summer?
Drop it in the comments — I'd love to help you prepare for it.
